Turbulent Tide: Alabama’s series of first-half mistakes leave fans irritated

Alabama appeared out of sorts at times as the Crimson Tide trailed early in the first half by double digits for the first time since Ole Miss in 2015. The halftime deficit was 33-13.
LSU’s offense jumped out to a 10-0 lead, but the Crimson Tide recovered with a punt return touchdown from Jaylen Waddle and a long touchdown pass to DeVonta Smith. Alabama, though, had trouble running the ball with just 24 rushing yards in the first half on 12 carries.
Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa and Ty Perine each had fumbles as some combination of “out of sync” or “out of sorts” was the description for the Tide in the first half.
The Tide were also 2-for-7 on third down conversions, and trailed LSU in first downs, 17-8.
If Alabama can’t handle the changing pace of LSU’s offense they’re NOT going to be able to handle Clemson, OSU, or even Georgia at this point. #LSUvsBAMA
