Georgia continues to add blue-chip prospects to its loaded 2026 recruiting class.

The Bulldogs made a big splash on Saturday with a commitment from 5-star TE Kaiden Prothro. UGA did not have to wait long for another big-time commitment.

Tyriq Green is Georgia’s newest verbal pledge. The standout ATH announced his plans to play college football for Kirby Smart on Saturday afternoon.

Out of Buford (Georgia) High School, Green is listed as measuring 6-feet and 195 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Green is rated 4-stars, the No. 10 ATH, No. 21 player in the Peach State and No. 151 prospect overall in the Class of 2026.

While ATH is used for multi-position prospects, it’s safe to say Green’s future at Georgia is in the secondary. He was recruited to UGA by Donte Williams and Travaris Robinson.

As one of the top prospects in the state of Georgia, Green picked up a whopping 53 scholarship offers. For Saturday’s big decision, it came down to Georgia, Miami and Auburn.

Green gives Georgia 29 verbal commitments in its 2026 recruiting class, ranked No. 2 nationally on the Composite. Fans who haven’t seen Green play for Buford can check out some of his highlights in the clip below:
