Registering at No. 5 in the latest CFB Playoff ranking, Louisville had a pretty clear path to reaching the four-team tournament.
The first step involves beating Houston on Thursday night. However, there might be a problem with this scenario.
UH is smashing Louisville in this contest — to the tune of 31-0. The game is currently at halftime. The Cardinals’ star QB Lamar Jackson has been kept relatively in check, and the defense hasn’t been able to stop anything.
At this point, Jackson’s potential Heisman Trophy campaign may be taking a serious hit.
Those on Twitter haven’t been shy in divulging their thoughts on this blowout:
Welp no need to try and figure out what to do with Louisville… #ItAlwaysPlaysOut

WTH is going on. I turn on the TV to watch Louisville and HOUSTON is beating them DOWN. 31-0 in the 2nd Quarter? So much for their CFB hopes

If Houston's DL can do this to Louisville's OL, then Louisville should be thrilled to avoid playing Alabama's front 7 in a playoff game.
