2-minute drill: Arkansas trio of RBs primed to have big day

The Arkansas offense is largely dependent on the run game – and for good reason. They have the biggest offensive line in the conference and three ultra-talented running backs to lean on.

Facing Nicholls State this afternoon, Alex Collins, Jonathan Williams and Korliss Marshall are set to have a big day on the ground. The Colonels last week surrendered an astounding 589 rushing yards against Air Force and their triple option offense, which was the most given up by any NCAA defense last week.

Behind the Hogs’ three-headed running attack, it won’t be shocking if Collins, Williams and Marshall put up huge numbers in the team’s home-opener. Last week, the trio ran for a combined 151 yards in the first half, but were virtually shut out in the second half after some huge Auburn defensive adjustments. You can bet they’ll lean heavily on Collins and the other backs to snap their 10-game losing streak.

Arkansas and Nicholls State are set to kick off at 4 p.m. EST in Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium.
