If you plan to attend Pac-12 college football games in the state of Oregon, you’ll need to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test.

Oregon became the first Power 5 program to implement the policy. The university’s official account tweeted the announcement.

Oregon opens its 2021 season at home on Sept. 4 against Fresno State.

Shortly after Oregon’s announcement, Oregon State announced the same policy. OSU’s tweet did not mention the option to present a negative test, but the linked post on the school website states, “Oregon State University announced today that people attending designated university events and activities, including athletic events, concerts and conferences, will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.”

Oregon State begins the season on the road at Purdue on Sept. 4. OSU’s home opener is on Sept. 11 against Hawaii.

Earlier this month, Tulane became the first FBS school to require vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours to attend a home football game during the 2021 season.
