If you plan to attend Pac-12 college football games in the state of Oregon, you’ll need to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID-19 test.
Oregon became the first Power 5 program to implement the policy. The university’s official account tweeted the announcement.
The UO will require people aged 12 and older to show proof of vaccination or a recent negative COVID test in order to attend university events and activities, including sporting events, as of Monday, Aug. 23. 1/3 pic.twitter.com/y8FgCc4FR4

Oregon opens its 2021 season at home on Sept. 4 against Fresno State.
Shortly after Oregon’s announcement, Oregon State announced the same policy. OSU’s tweet did not mention the option to present a negative test, but the linked post on the school website states, “Oregon State University announced today that people attending designated university events and activities, including athletic events, concerts and conferences, will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test.”
We are upping our efforts to reduce COVID-19 risks by requiring proof of vaccinations beginning Aug. 23 at designated OSU events and activities, including home football games.
