The Charlotte 49ers should become familiar with Knoxville in the coming years.
The school announced that the 49ers would play at South Carolina in 2022, and 2020 at Tennessee, which follows an already announced game next season against the Volunteers.
In 2022, the 49ers will play at South Carolina, Sept. 24.
The 49ers said they’re playing two Power Five foes each season from 2020 through 2024.
Charlotte started a football program in 2015, and has had seasons of 2-10, 4-8 and this season is 1-9. The 49ers only previous game against an SEC team came against Kentucky in 2015, which was a 58-10 loss.
