The SEC has a strong standing in the AP Top 25 with three of the top five teams and another checking in at No. 10.
But the league also has representatives at the bottom of another ranking.
Two SEC teams appeared in ESPN’s weekly Bottom 10, which was tweaked to include only Power 5 teams this week given the recent struggles of some big-name brands (looking at you, Nebraska). Arkansas (affectionately dubbed Ar-kan’t-saw) ranked third on the ignominious list, while Tennessee (Good Ol’ Rocky Slop) was No. 6.
Both teams are starting over with new coaches and, predictably, sit at the bottom of their respective divisions. Appearing in the Bottom 10 is a little harsh, but the Razorbacks and Volunteers have plenty of time to salvage decent Year 1s after a rocky September.
