It hasn’t been all fun and games in the SEC this year.
The conference does boast two top-tier teams in Alabama and Georgia, but the rest of the conference has been a mess at times. Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt have yet to win an SEC matchup this season while putting up some lackluster performances.
While the race for the Playoff is beginning to take shape, Tom Fornelli with CBS Sports attempts to rank the Bottom 25 teams in all of college football on a weekly basis. Needless to say, this is one list team’s hope they never land on with the No. 1 ranking reserved for the worst team in the country.
Thankfully, no SEC team made the top 10 of this list, but two teams did fall in the Bottom 25 of all of college football.
Fornelli had Arkansas (No. 25) and Missouri (No. 23) as two of the worst teams in all of college football following Week 8.
On Arkansas:
The Hogs dropped to 0-4 in the SEC, and they’ve lost their conference games by an average of 24.25 points.
On Missouri:
The SEC’s other Bottom 25 team is in danger of falling out after a big win over Idaho and a game coming against UConn.
The Razorbacks will take on Ole Miss this weekend while the Tigers will take on UConn. To Missouri’s credit, the Tigers have been playing somewhat better over the last couple of weeks. The Razorbacks, however, have continued their struggles with a three-game losing streak.
