Tyler Herro gives update on hand injury ahead of Game 2 in Heat-Bucks series
Tyler Herro is expected to be out for multiple weeks with the hand injury he sustained in Game 1 of the Heat-Bucks series on Sunday.
Herro shared that news with reporters on Tuesday afternoon. He said the earliest possible return to the court for Miami would be in the NBA Finals, which are slated to begin in June.
Herro also said he’s scheduled to have surgery on his fractured hand on Friday.

Herro suffered the injury while making a 3-pointer late in the 1st half against the Bucks on Sunday.
Despite winning Game 1, Miami is a big underdog vs. Milwaukee in this 1st round series. The Heat are the No. 8 seed in the East, so a trip to the NBA Finals is unlikely. This injury will end Herro’s 2022-23 season, in all likelihood.
Herro is in his 4th season out of Kentucky. He averaged more than 20 points per game this season, doing so for the 2nd consecutive campaign.
Game 2 in the Heat-Bucks series will be played on Wednesday at 9:00 p.m. ET.
