Tyler Woodard, Mississippi State commit and top JUCO prospect, names 3 SEC finalists

Tyler Woodard is close to making a final decision on where he will play in 2024.

Woodard, a top JUCO prospect, has been committed to Mississippi State since July. However, the 3-star safety seems to be still deciding between a trio of SEC programs following Mississippi State’s head coaching change.

Woodard announced his 3 finalists on Tuesday night. In addition to the Bulldogs, he’s also still considering Tennessee and Arkansas.

Woodard did not give a timeline for making a final decision, but the Early Signing Period is set to begin in a couple of weeks. He’ll be able to officially sign with a program starting on Dec. 20.

Woodard is a major target for all 3 teams. He’s currently the No. 21 overall player and the No. 3 safety amongst JUCO players in the class of 2024, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

Woodard attends East Mississippi Community College. However, he’s originally from Memphis, Tennessee.
