It didn’t take long for the Kansas City Chiefs to get on the scoreboard as they faced the Baltimore Ravens on “Sunday Night Football”.

Patrick Mahomes has never lost to Lamar Jackson during his time in the NFL, winning the 3 previous matchups between the former league MVPs. And the Chiefs’ defense made an early play on the Ravens with less than a minute played in the 1st quarter in hopes of continuing that streak.

With Baltimore facing a 3rd-and-8 at their own 27-yard line on the opening drive of the game, Jackson saw his pass sail into the hands of Tyrann Mathieu. The 3-time All-Pro and former LSU great took it 35 yards for a pick-6 to stake the Chiefs to an early 7-0 lead following the extra point.

You can watch the video of the play below:

Mathieu picked off Jackson another time. It wasn’t a pick-6, but the INT was made on a ball going to the end zone, keeping the Ravens off the board.

The Honey Badger got off to an insanely hot start to his season.
