Georgia drops to No. 20 in College Football Playoff rankings

The hits keep on coming for the Georgia Bulldogs, who suffered a stunning defeat this past weekend at the hands of the Florida Gators.
As a result, the Bulldogs suffered a steep drop in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, falling all the way to No. 20, nine spots below their initial ranking.

Prior to last weekend, Georgia seemed to be in prime position to win the SEC East and make a run at a College Football Playoff, but that all changed with the ‘Dawgs latest defeat at the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.
Interestingly, Missouri is the SEC East leader at the moment, but the Tigers were not included in the CFP Top 25. In fact Georgia is the lone SEC East team in the rankings and one of five SEC teams.
Mississippi State, Florida State, Auburn and Oregon fill out the top 4 spots. Alabama and TCU are the first two out at No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.
