UGA is the highest ranked SEC East team even though the Bulldogs finished second in the division behind Missouri. The Tigers, who suffered a 42-13 loss in the SEC Championship fell back to No. 16.

The SEC boasts seven teams in this week’s AP Top 25 and three schools fell in the top-10 — Alabama (No. 1), Mississippi State (No. 8) and Ole Miss (No. 9).
