Is Arkansas becoming the go-to program for running backs in the SEC West?

The Razorbacks’ substantial success on the ground during Bret Bielema’s first two seasons has forced sought-after recruits to take a look at the downhill rushing attack in Fayetteville, orchestrated by Arkansas’ run-first mindset.

Bielema’s smashmouth mentality is one of the primary attractions for three-star commit Rawleigh Williams III, a 200-pound speed back just under 6-foot out of Dallas. Williams rushed for nearly 3,000 yards this season in a spread zone-read attack at Bishop Lynch and scored a school-record 37 touchdowns on 341 carries.

Williams isn’t on the level of current tailbacks Alex Collins or Jonathan Williams coming out of high school, but a glance at his highlight tape reveals home-run potential with expertise in the screen game as well. He could see early playing time if Korliss Marshall indeed transfers.
