Urban Meyer knows it’s a tall task to repeat as college football’s national champion. The 3-time title winner as a head coach likes Georgia’s chances to go back-to-back. On FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff, Meyer said he’s “all in” on Kirby Smart’s squad.

“I’m all in on Georgia. It was a systematic beatdown from offense, defense, and kicking. I didn’t expect that,” Meyer said of UGA’s Week 1 win over Oregon. “The two most underrated names in college football right now are their offensive coordinator Todd Monken … and Stetson Bennett.”

Meyer might have a point on both names entering Week 2. Georgia scored on 7 consecutive drives to begin the game thanks to Monken’s play design. Meanwhile, Bennett threw for 368 yards and 2 touchdowns while averaging 11.9 yards per pass attempt.

Brady Quinn, a former top selection out of Notre Dame and fellow FOX Sports analyst, believes that thanks to Bennett’s hot start, the senior could become a hot name to watch for in the 2023 NFL Draft.

“They were winning at one point last year maybe despite him or he was just managing, now he’s leading them,” Quinn said. “He’s a guy that NFL evaluators are going to say ‘this guy is draftable.”

The Bulldogs return to Athens Saturday to take on Samford in their home opener. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. ET.
