Published:

Urban Meyer may have left Ohio State but the former Buckeye, Florida, Utah and Bowling Green head coach will reportedly remain close to college football heading into the 2019 season.

That’s because Meyer has reportedly been hired by FOX Sports to be featured on a new college football pregame show that is being designed to rival ESPN’s College GameDay program. This isn’t the first time FOX has attempted to create a rival to College GameDay, however, this rendition will feature Meyer, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn and host Rob Stone.

This information all comes via Andrew Marchand of the New York Post. According to Marchand, this pregame show will air on FOX, not FOX Sports. The show will only travel to various campuses around the nation a “handful” of times and will broadcast from Los Angeles when not on the road.

This won’t be Meyer’s first time working in front of a camera as he worked as an analyst for ESPN when he left Florida before taking over the Ohio State job.

UPDATE: FOX Sports has now confirmed Marchand’s report.
