Friday morning, a report surfaced claiming that Urban Meyer is mulling his future at Ohio State and doesn’t plan to coach there past 2019.
A few hours later, Meyer was asked about the situation during the Big Ten championship game press conference, and his answer wasn’t exactly inspiring.

Meyer has handled questions like these all season, which he began on a three-game suspension for mishandling accusations of domestic violence levied against a former assistant. His ongoing battle with chronic headaches has only worsened matters, leading many to speculate that he could retire as early as this season.
It now appears like he’s going to at least finish this season, especially after the No. 6 Buckeyes took down Michigan to book a date against No. 21 Northwestern in Saturday’s Big Ten title game and potentially earn a College Football Playoff berth.
But Meyer’s plans for 2019 and beyond will remain a mystery for now.
