We are past the midway point of this crazy 2020 college football season, and the College Football Playoff picture grows a little clearer by the week.
Most SEC teams have just four games to play, with a couple in contention for the Playoff.
Former Florida and Ohio State head coach and current Fox Sports analyst Urban Meyer updated his picks for the final four teams standing in college football on Tuesday, including two SEC teams.
Meyer has Alabama, Ohio State, Notre Dame and Florida in his top four. Along with Brady Quinn, Meyer believes Florida is in the conversation after his former offensive coordinator Dan Mullen orchestrated a dominant win over Georgia in Jacksonville on Saturday.
The way the SEC season is trending, Alabama and Florida could very well face off in the SEC Championship game in Atlanta. Florida would likely have to win that game to avoid its second loss to get in to the Playoff, and Alabama would have to count on the committee letting the Crimson Tide in without a conference title.
With only a few games to go, it is crunch time in the SEC. Urban Meyer believes two teams from the footprint can do enough to play for a national title.
