USC All-American defensive back Adoree’ Jackson did not enjoy losing to Alabama by 46 points in the regular season opener, but he did like how the Trojans handed Washington its only loss of 2016.

Now, the Thorpe Award winner is hoping the Huskies can “shock the world” by eliminating the Tide in the semifinals of the College Football Playoff at the end of the month.

“I know a lot of people think Pac-12 ball is not good and they don’t expect them to go out and do anything,” said Jackson, per AL.com. “So, I’m behind them, hoping they can go out there and shock the world.

“So, it’s one of those things where you never know what might happen,” he added. “It’s college football. We’ve seen a lot of crazy things happen.”

An upset would certainly fall under the category of “crazy.” Alabama, which hasn’t lost since Week 3 of the 2015 season, is a 15.5-point favorite to beat Washington and extend its 25-game winning streak.

Kickoff is set for Dec. 31 at 3 p.m. ET in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl.
