Utah is all over Baylor in the 1st half in Salt Lake City. The No. 11 Utes are up 23-0 late in the 1st half as they look to improve to 2-0 on the young season.

The Bears actually had a chance to get on the scoreboard on a 50-yard field goal attempt with 5-and-a-half minutes until the break, but it was blocked — with Utah’s Tao Johnson coming up with the football and finding himself with a clear path to the end zone.

Here’s video of the play as Johnson ran it in for 6 points, even high-fiving a teammate as he did so:

After dropping 49 on Southern Utah in Week 1, Kyle Whittingham’s team continues to rack up the points in their first season in the Big 12. Defensively, they have shut opponents out over 6 quarters of play.

Utah-Baylor is on FOX. It’s being considered a non-conference game since it’s the 2nd game of a home-and-home set that was played in Waco a season ago. Utah won that one 20-13.
