Earlier today, Tennessee head coach Butch Jones said wide receiver Josh Smith is going into the Ohio game as questionable. Smith tweaked his ankle on Tuesday at practice.
According to rockytopinsider.com, Jones said freshman receiver Tyler Byrd would be in line for more work if Smith can’t play. Defensive end Kyle Phillips has a high ankle sprain, but Jones said he expects Phillips will have a larger role this week since LaTroy Lewis is out.
The Volunteers get Ohio this week at noon on Saturday at home. The game will be televised on SEC Network.
