Vanderbilt has picked up commitment No. 14 for its 2021 recruiting class. On Wednesday, offensive lineman Gunnar Hansen out of Florida powerhouse high school program St. Thomas Aquinas announced his pledge to the Commodores.

“I am honored and blessed by God for giving me the opportunity to play the game I love. I would like to thank all who have helped me along this journey. I would also like to thank the Vanderbilt coaching staff, Coach Smith, Coach Harriott, Coach Wilson and all the coaches and teachers at Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. I would also like to thank my parents for their sacrifice and support. Lastly, thank you to the universities that recruited me and gave me an opportunity to fulfill a life long dream. With that said, I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at Vanderbilt University!” Hansen wrote in his announcement note, shared on Twitter.

Hansen is listed at 6-5, 305 pounds and rated 3-stars on 247Sports (with no Composite rating). He also had scholarship offers from Toledo and UNLV.
