Vanderbilt clears sidelines in midst of massive scuffle with Tennessee

Tennessee and Vanderbilt football do not like each other.
And as time wound down in the first half of Week 13’s rivalry matchup between the Vols and Commodores, things started to get chippy. Vanderbilt’s Clark Lea was not happy with a late hit by Tyler Baron on a dead ball. Tensions continued to flare before Baron and a lineman said some words to each other.
That’s when everything broke loose. Vanderbilt players practically leapt from the benches to sprint across the field to back their guy.

Tennessee’s Baron and Dominic Bailey were called for unsportsmanlike penalties, as was Vanderbilt’s Delfin Xavier Castillo.
Tennessee is in control of this game, as expected. The Vols lead 31-10 entering the halftime break. Vanderbilt showed some fight earlier in the game but has since cooled off as Tennessee’s offense continues to roll behind a strong performance from Joe Milton III.
The Commodores have yet to win an SEC game this season. Tennessee is looking for its 8th win on the year.
