Vanderbilt has hired itself an offensive line coach.

Fresno State’s Cameron Norcross will join the Commodores in the same capacity, according to Sports Illustrated senior writer Thayer Evans.

Vanderbilt was ranked 12th in the SEC this season in yards per rush (3.8) while ranking 9th in sacks allowed (28).

The Commodores offense struggled mightily this season, only managing 15.2 points per game. Only Central Florida (13.9), Missouri (13.6) and Kent State (13.1) posted a worse average. Vandy only had 38 plays of 10-plus yards, tied for 3rd-worst in the FBS.

Norcross, 39, just finished his fourth season in the same position at Fresno State. Before that, he spent his entire coaching career at his alma mater, Nevada.
