Vanderbilt trolls South Carolina fans for leaving during VU blowout win at Williams-Brice Stadium

South Carolina football fans pride themselves on the atmosphere that Williams-Brice Stadium offers – with Sandstorm cranking at 110 decibels, lights flashing and “It is Saturday in South Carolina! Welcome to Williams-Brice” booming over the loudspeakers.
An impressive sight, no doubt, and one of the most goosebump-inducing team entrances fans point to annually. Trespassers beware, to enter, is to sacrifice… an early exit path into the darkness like the bulk of South Carolina fans chose Saturday night?
The Vanderbilt football account on X took particular note of all the Gamecocks faithful dressed as empty swaths of bleachers toward the end of the Commodores’ 31-7 victory over the 11th-ranked home squad. Witnessing Vanderbilt drop 24 unanswered points on the Gamecocks was clearly too much for the sellout crowd of 79,873 to handle – judging by the expanse of bare aluminum seating in the photo below.
The caption that went with the photo – “So is this the full Williams-Brice Stadium experience everyone was talking about?” – is so clever and to the point that all we can offer is a tip of the cap to the admin for a job well done.
Vanderbilt trolling a fellow SEC team over lackluster fan support… It just means more, right?
