Vanderbilts adds 2023 commitment from local linebacker

Ethan Crisp is staying close to home to play college football. On Thursday, Crisp announced his commitment to Vanderbilt.

Crisp is a 3-star linebacker out of Mount Juliet in the Nashville area. His 247Sports recruiting profile shows that Vanderbilt was the first program to extend a scholarship offer. Clark Lea’s VU program offered on April 9, 2021. Crisp has picked up 17 more offers since then, including Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Missouri, Ole Miss and Tennessee.

Listed at 6-3, 205 pounds, Crisp is the No. 19 Tennessee product, No. 45 linebacker and No. 533 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023 on the 247Sports Composite. His 2021 junior-season highlights can be viewed below, via Hudl:
