Las Vegas doesn’t think there will be much of a game in the Cotton Bowl on New Year’s Eve.

According to Westgate Las Vegas Superbook, No. 2 seed Alabama (12-1) is a 9.5-point favorite over  No. 3 seed Michigan State (12-1) for their College Football Playoff semifinal.

The Crimson Tide opened as a 9-point favorite in last year’s semifinal matchup with another Big Ten opponent, Ohio State, before losing 42-35 to the eventual national champions.

This season, Alabama has covered in four of the last five games but was just 3-5 against the spread as a favorite of at least 9 points or more.

The Tide is currently riding a 10-game win streak, the 2nd-longest active streak in the FBS behind only Clemson’s 13-game unbeaten run.
