The 2016 national champion hasn’t been crowned just yet, but handicappers at the Las Vegas SuperBook are already placing odds on next season’s national champion. As one might expect, the SuperBook is giving Alabama the best chance of winning it all in 2017 at 3:1.

One can expect an offseason storyline of a possible playoff rematch between Week 1 opponents Alabama and FSU. The Seminoles have the next-best odds (7:1) behind the Crimson Tide, notably better than Clemson’s (18:1), UA’s opponent the last two championship games. If Alabama and Florida State win their conferences, they could be meeting twice in 2017.

The SEC team with the next-best odds is LSU (12:1) and then a noticeable shift to longshot status starts with Auburn (30:1), Georgia (40:1), Florida (50:1) and Tennessee (50:1).
