Most coaches are worried about filling out their program’s 2016 recruiting classes at this point in the offseason, but Aggies coach Kevin Sumlin can tally one in the 2017 column based on a Tweet sent out on Saturday morning.

Devin Morris, a junior from Caldwell, Texas, has made a pledge to play for the Aggies:

Caldwell’s graphic lists him as a cornerback, but the recruiting services have the prospect listed as both an option at defensive back and wide receiver.

He has posted a 4.43 40-yard dash time, according to 247Sports.

While verbal commitments are non-binding and in fact often broken, it is still nice for Sumlin to have landed a quality prospect this early in the process.

We’ll see if it sticks for the next year.
