Alabama is good at many things, but their most elite skill might just be scoring non-offensive touchdowns. The Tide scored 14 such TDs on their way to the national title game last season, and early returns suggest they’re far from done.

Terrell Hall, a sophomore OLB who barely saw time last year, has already generated some serious buzz thanks to his perceptive pick-six during the A-Day game. Hall wowed Tide fans, and even the play by play team in the booth, as he showed a mix of size, speed, and athleticism.

Swing passes are often some of the most low-risk plays in the book, but when a lateral route meets an explosive athlete like Hall, there’s very little that the offense can do to stop a breakaway score by the defender.

In short, Alabama’s LB depth should be just fine.
