Nick Chubb’s return has Georgia fans excited, including a pastor in Atlanta who mentioned the star running back during his sermon Sunday. UGA Football Live shared a video of Dr. E. Dewey Smith Jr. preaching about Chubb’s return, which he said caused him to “holler so loud that the alarm system went off.”

“I was screaming and hollering in the house,” Smith said. “I was hollering so loud the alarm system went off. I was hollering loud because I saw Nick Chubb score a touchdown for Georgia. He came back from a knee injury last year and ran for 200 yards. I was screaming so loud that the Lord probably thought someone was breaking into my house. They thought the light, they thought the doors and the windows were breaking because I was yelling that loud.”

Chubb finished with 222 yards — a Chick-Fil-A Kickoff Game record — and two touchdowns on 32 attempts. The junior missed Georgia’s final seven games last season recovering from a knee injury that occurred on Oct. 10 against Tennessee.
