Who didn’t enjoy setting up a sprinkler in their backyard and running through it on hot summer days when they were children (other than those who owned pools)?

In the above video, the Chattanooga Mocs (who lost to Alabama 31-3 on Nov. 19) capture that spirit with an innovative way to practice.

With a 100-percent chance of rain on Saturday for the Mocs’ FCS playoff game at Sam Houston State, the Chattanooga coaching staff was faced with sunny skies for practice on Thursday.

In order to properly simulate the expected rain, the staff took to the skies to spray water from a firehose on the players below.

It probably wasn’t as fun for the players who had to deal with the spray on Dec. 1, but if it works, it’ll go down as a creative way to defeat Mother Nature.
