We’re still in college football preseason, but Fox Sports host Colin Cowherd has decided to make his postseason Top 10 predictions, as in which team will be crowned national champion and how the final poll will look come January.
Cowherd sees one SEC team making the College Football Playoff, but he doesn’t see the conference starting a new streak of national titles. Here’s the SEC teams Cowherd has in his preseason postseason Top 10:
- No. 4 Tennessee
- No. 5 Alabama
- No. 9 LSU
According to Cowherd, the Volunteers will be joining No. 1 Clemson, No. 2 Michigan and No. 3 Oklahoma in this year’s final four. While Alabama has made the cut the past two seasons, Cowherd believes that this year’s schedule is simply too tough for the Crimson Tide. He cites the Tide’s road slate, including LSU, Ole Miss and Arkansas, as too difficult for Nick Saban’s squad to come away unscathed.
