After a rocky first quarter, it appears the South Carolina offense has finally found a rhythm in Thursday’s season opener against North Carolina.
Coming out of timeout to open the second frame, redshirt sophomore quarterback Connor Mitch hooked up with All-American wideout Pharoh Cooper on a slant for a 9-yard touchdown to put the Gamecocks on the board.
Mitch’s first career touchdown pass on 3rd-and-5 was Cooper’s first catch of the season.
