The Head Ball Coach is gone, but his famous visor was flying high Saturday in Columbia.
South Carolina interim head coach Shawn Elliott honored Steve Spurrier by waving the retired Head Ball Coach’s visor as he led the Gamecocks onto the field for their home game against Vanderbilt.
Spurrier, who led South Carolina to three 11-win seasons, resigned Monday.
