The “Mannequin Challenge” found its way to game day in Gainesville.
CBS cameras caught Florida’s cheerleading squad engaging in the latest social media trend. The viral video calls for a group to freeze in place, usually in elaborate or outrageous poses, while someone with a camera captures the details.
It’s a fad many football teams have taken up, like Alabama did Tuesday. LSU running back Leonard Fournette also made a brief appearance in a “Mannequin Challenge” video set in a classroom.
While they weren’t posing for the video, the Gators’ cheerleaders have had plenty to cheer about. Florida is closing in on a 20-7 win against South Carolina, which brings it one step closing to locking up the SEC East crown.
