Video: Former Purdue QBs Appleby, Etling battle in Baton Rouge

If a quarterback can’t hold on to the starting job at Purdue, transferring to the SEC doesn’t usually seem like a good idea.
But that’s exactly what Austin Appleby and Danny Etling did, as Appleby ended up at Florida and Elting went to LSU. With the Gators traveling to the Tigers in Week 12, the former Boilermakers are set to do battle.
Appleby is starting in place of the injured Luke Del Rio, who hasn’t been overly effective when he’s played anyway. As for Etling, he was given a chance once the Bayou Bengals fan base finally turned on incumbent starter Brandon Harris once and for all. Both have had successes and failures thus far in 2016.
