Steve Spurrier’s spoken highly of South Carolina’s quarterback play during the infant stages of fall practice this week, going as far as saying true freshman Lorenzo Nunez is in the mix for early playing time.

The Head Ball Coach got another look at third-year sophomore Connor Mitch, the projected starter, and Nunez on Friday morning at the Proving Grounds outside Williams-Brice Stadium and @GamecockFB provided video.
Former walk-on Perry Orth and Michael Scarnecchia are also battling for the job.
