Video: The Iron Bowl moment that about made Nick Saban cry

Saturday was a special day for Alabama senior RB Lawrence Erekosima. In addition to being honored on Senior Day before the Iron Bowl, Erekosima’s mother, who had been deployed in Kuwait while serving with the military, came home early to help celebrate her son.
After Alabama’s victory, coach Nick Saban discussed the emotional moment for his senior, saying it almost made him cry to see his player reunited with his mother.
Erekosima certainly isn’t one of the stars of the Alabama program, but his dedication to the team for so many years is reason for recognition.
The fact that his mother was able to come home early from her Army deployment makes things that much sweeter.
