Spring games are not only a time to iron out the kinks of an offseason game plan but also a time to reinforce the community around the team. No one does that quite like the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who delivered another tear jerker on Saturday.
SSG Matthew Hawke, who had recently returned home from a tour of duty, dressed up as a Nebraska football player and surprised his family at midfield during the coin toss.

The Huskers also turned heads in 2013 when they allowed a young cancer patient to suit up and score a long TD with players cheering him on.
There may not be a ton of big city lights and sounds in Lincoln, Nebraska, but it personifies the community feel of a college town that makes this sport so unique.
