Mississippi State’s most prolific receiver will play in Davis Wade Stadium one final time Saturday.

Senior receiver Fred Ross reflected on that and his college career in a meeting with reporters Monday. He recalled when he first arrived in Starkville as a freshman and not knowing where any of his classes were.

“It’s going to be a pretty emotional night for me,” Ross said of the Bulldogs’ clash with Arkansas this weekend.

Ross also discussed his decision to return for his senior season, saying he had no regrets about leaving for the NFL as a junior.

Against Alabama last weekend, he broke the school record for career receiving yards with 2,275. Ross is the Mississippi State’s leading receiver this season with 57 receptions for 664 yards and nine touchdowns.

Ross will get to flash his skills in front of a home crowd one last time when the Bulldogs (4-6, 2-4) host the Razorbacks (6-4, 2-4) at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday.
