There’s no denying that the SEC East has been bad in 2016.
In fact, the division has been down for a while and hasn’t won a conference championship since 2008.
Tennessee, Georgia and Florida all entered the 2016 season with high expectations, but all have been major disappointments thus far.
ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum gave his thoughts on why each school has struggled this year:
“The quarterback play in the SEC and at Florida has been a problem this year, and at Tennessee this year, and Georgia is going through a transition,” he said. “I’m not at all surprised.”
At 4-2, Florida holds a narrow lead over the 4-3 Kentucky Wildcats in the East, but the Gators have to face a hot South Carolina team this weekend.
