Video: Would SEC alumni wear rival gear for a Super Bowl ring?

Could you imagine Julio Jones or Dont’a Hightower in orange and blue? Most Alabama fans can’t stomach the thought of the Crimson Tide alumni ever saying War Eagle, but it’s a question both were posed at Super Bowl Media Day.
The SEC Network’s Peter Burns caught up with Jones, Hightower and other prominent SEC alumni on the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots to ask if they would wear their rival’s colors for a month if it meant a guaranteed Super Bowl ring. The question comes in the second half of the above video after being ready to play on the big stage is discussed.
Some players flatly rejected the idea, while others realize that a Super Bowl ring is too hard to pass up. It’s worth noting that many of these players likely sported rival colors as who recruits who get loaded up with free gear on official visits.
