Video: SEC Shorts parody complete lack of drama surrounding Alabama’s No. 1 ranking

Who will be No. 1 when the Week 12 College Football Playoff rankings are released on Tuesday?

Just kidding. There’s no drama around it at all — Alabama will maintain its spot atop the rankings.

After No. 2 Clemson, No. 3 Michigan and No. 4 Washington all lost on Saturday, the Crimson Tide’s grip on the No. 1 spot is now cemented.

In the above SEC Shorts video, comedians parody ESPN producers trying to pump some drama into Tuesday’s rankings show.

However, the announcer isn’t having it, especially when the script calls for him to wonder if the Alabama defense will show up next weekend.

“The only way their defense isn’t showing up is if their bus literally breaks down on the side of the road and another bus has to come get them,” the host jokes in the promo.

This week’s College Football Playoff rankings will be released at 9 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday. Check out who will join Alabama in the top four on ESPN.
