WTVM ABC 9 out of Columbus, Ga., did not have the most flattering shot of Alabama fans greeting the team on its arrival back from Tampa. The video above shows Crimson Tide players getting off the bus and then a shot of a few fans standing behind a barricade, with the broadcast noting only a handful of fans there to greet the players.

As one can imagine, many rival fans are chiming in that their teams’ fanbase would be out at the airport win or lose the national championship game, which is an easy claim for anyone to make on Twitter. Considering that WTVM includes Auburn in its list of cities and towns covered (Columbus, Fort Benning, Phenix City, Auburn, Opelika, LaGrange, Cusseta and Americus per the station’s website), the shot of the small group of Crimson Tide fans is almost certainly shown for AU fans’ amusement.
