Hurricane Matthew has indeed taken its toll on the East Coast.
The storm even damaged the home of South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner, blowing over a tree that struck his house. You can see the damage in a video posted on Saturday by The State.
The State reported Tanner and his family are safe despite the damage, which struck several other homes in the Heathwood neighborhood.
Tanner isn’t the only person to suffer such misfortune as Hurricane Matthew makes its way up the coast. The damage shows why Tanner and other school officials decided to postpone the Gamecocks’ matchup with Georgia to 2:30 p.m. ET Sunday.
