Every SEC team has to deal with it sooner or later.

Conference road games are never an easy task, but traveling to Starkville to Mississippi State always comes with an unusual challenge — cowbells.

South Carolina will be the next SEC team to face the added crowd noise when it visits the Bulldogs at 7 p.m. Saturday for a primetime kickoff on ESPN2. Gamecocks junior offensive lineman Cory Helms spoke with The State about preparing for the hostile crowd and its clanging cowbells.
