Video: South Carolina RB Dowdle catches ricochet off Mizzou defender for crazy TD

Whenever a linebacker is matched up with a running back in space, it’s often a matchup the offensive team tries to exploit.
This scenario came to fruition during the South Carolina-Missouri game Saturday afternoon.
Mizzou linebacker Eric Beisel attempted to cover South Carolina running back Rico Dowdle in space.

Utilizing supreme hand-eye-coordination and concentration, Dowdle was able to miraculously make the touchdown grab after the ball careened off Beisel’s elbow.
The score put the Gamecocks ahead by a score of 14-7 midway through the second quarter. Since then, Missouri tied the ballgame with less than six minutes remaining in the first half.
