5-star Walter Nolen, nation’s No. 2 overall prospect, announces his list of finalists

The nation’s top defensive prospect has just narrowed his options as five-star lineman Walter Nolen has announced his recruitment is down to eight schools.

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound Cordova, Tenn., native has got SEC programs Alabama, Florida, Georgia and LSU on his list, as well as Michigan, Oregon, USC and Ohio State in the running.

Nolen is ranked as the nation’s No. 2 overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting cycle according to 247Sports Composite Rankings. Nolen currently plays for St. Benedict at Auburndale for former Tennessee defensive lineman Marlon Walls.

Nolen has also played for Mississippi school Olive Branch and IMG Academy during his prep career.
