Warren McClendon, All-SEC Georgia OT, reveals plans for 2023 season

Warren McClendon is off to the pros after 4 seasons at Georgia. McClendon announced Saturday that he is declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft.
McClendon posted a lengthy note thanking those who helped make his 4 years in Athens a special experience.

McClendon had up to 2 seasons of remaining eligibility. In 2019, McClendon played in just 4 games, allowing him to take a redshirt. He also had an extra year available with the NCAA’s COVID-19 waiver for 2020.
It’s no surprise, though, that McClendon is ready for the NFL. He became a starter in 2020 and earned Freshman All-America recognition from the Football Writers Association of America. McClendon’s starting streak reached 37 games in 2022. It was snapped when he missed the Peach Bowl due to an injury in the SEC Championship Game.
McClendon was an All-SEC First Team selection for 2022 by the conference coaches.
